One week ago I passed my star one kayaking course.
This basically means that I passed my beginner course and am qualified to kayak in a enclosed rectangle 100 by 150 - which sounds loser-ish enough to make you take up their star two course, passing which will take you on expeditions.
The course itself lasted two days , was loads of fun and could not be failed. I have a feeling that they will pass anyone who makes their kayak move .
What I really loved about the course was the fact that for once I wasn't swimming in clorinated swimming pool water. I was in the open sea, soaking up the sunshine, challenging the currents and hitting the waves. Complete the package with two cloudy days and you almost have the perfect weekend getaway.
Why almost?
When I reached home and stared at my computer screen this was roughly what I saw.
Argh!
