As luck would have it, I accidentally deleted the contact of my tuition kid away the night before. Anticipating the mother of the kid would hunt the agent down for me and call me back, I rushed from TPJC alumni practice all the way down to Holland V.
By the time I reach Buona Vista MRT station, the agent had (very nicely) asked me whether if I was on the way and Iwas already fifteen minutes late.
"I am at holland V now," I said, which was only partly true as theoretically I was on the overhead on my way there.
" Er...actually I accidentally deleted away the contact you sms-ed me."
And so, she smsed me the address and the contact number of the mother and after a hunt for the block and unit I found myself staring at a boy who immediately turned and ran for it. That boy, as I later found out is Aditya (pronouced A-di-tia, his mother corrected me when I said A-dit-ya), the kid I was in-charge of tutoring.
" The last tutor who was here, we didn't like her so she left after the first lesson," his mother warned me, which I thought was fair enough.
Apparently Mother and son liked me well enough to call me over for another session next Saturday.
I am a very happy boy.
