Rhapsody

on a theme by Paganini by Sergei Rachmaninoff was one of the pieces played by the conservatory orchestra conducted by Wang ya-hui their music director. Out of the limited experience I have had attending concerts by orchestras, this must be one of the best , chiefly because of the transcendental beauty of this one part of the rhapsody.

Now imagine it live, with all the strings doing full bows, a beautiful synchronized movement meant to convey all the intensity of the moment.
