Dear Colleagues and Students,
EDB recently commissioned Mediacorp to produce a Chinese drama serial to promote Engineering as a career. Our Faculty's External Relations Office has been interacting with Mediacorp with regard to having scenes filmed at our Faculty premises, and for some of our projects to be featured, together with a number of our students appearing in the background. This 20-episode drama serial, "The Dream Catchers" or "未来不是梦", debuts this Wednesday, 4 Feb, on Channel 8, from 9-10pm. Episodes 3 and 4, which will be telecast on Fri 6 Feb and Mon 9 Feb respectively, will include scenes showing our students, facilities and projects.
I would like to thank the students and labs that contributed to the filming of scenes at our Faculty late last year. We trust that this will generate some positive publicity and greater awareness of Engineering at NUS.
