10:10

This is just one of those interesting nuggets of information.

If you do a random goggle search for watch advertisements, you will realise that most, if not all of them are set to a certain time. That magic time is 10:10.

Why, you ask? I googled and found two probable reasons. One of the reasons is that most times the brand's logo is at the centre of the watch face and setting it to that time will enable the logo to be prominently displayed. Another reason is that setting it at 10:10, the arrangement is not only symmetrical and thus easy on the eyes, it also resembles a smile. Imagine if you set it at 4:40. Or if it is a digital watch then this norm no longer applies - well, duh.

  1. And it resembles a tick. We associate ticks with correctness. =)
