My Last Chance

A few weeks ago, my flute-playing friend invited two friends and I to watch Forbidden City with him.

Quite a protrait

Today, us four, flute-playing friend, fireworks-watching pal and euphonium buddy made our way to the esplanade. Their names are protected because they really are piravte people.

That aside, I wore a striped long sleeve shirt today. Thought it was in good taste. I think fireworks-watching pal thinks otherwise. She scrutinised my shirt for a while after dinner( which we had before the show) and looked rather disturbed for the rest of the night. Don't know why.

I thought the show was fantastic. Much like the story of the three little pigs where the wolf is actually the good guy going around to put out fires in the the pigs' homes , the musical casts a new light on the empress dowager. It is based on a book written by a female artist asked to paint her protrait.

It being my erm...virgin experience in the theatre side of the esplanade, I was rather unsure where to clap. Usually I would just follow the audience. However, there was a kissing scene between the artist and a guy reporter in the second halve which to me ,represents a culmination in their relationship and certainly warrants a clap, that the audience was so absoutely silent, I could almost hear the artistes breathe. Of course I sheepishly lowered my hands after faking an unbearble itch in my right eyebrow.

Some of the child actor's credentials are rather cute too. They look awfully like they were lifted from somewhere though.

Presslee is a quiet and likable boy who interacts well with both his fellow peers and teachers. He participated enthusiatically in all activities. He is a keen contributor to group discussions and is confident in speaking in front of the group. His ability to sit for long periods during group discussions and listen attentively to his peers is to be commended.
Like from report book sia.
