Lions!

Thailand really dominated much of the first half of the game. In comparision, the Lions' defence was weak, their play scattered and their attacks lacked a certain punch. To tell the truth, I thought the match was over even over the second half started.

But Singapore bit back in the second half in the form of Khairul Amri. That goal for Singapore must have shocked a great many people. For a few moments, the entire Thai stadium was silent - as was I. One moment we were watching a replay footage on our screens and the very next moment, Khairul was going against three defenders less than 5 meters from the goal post. A flick here, a dab there and a powerful kick was all it took for Khairul to pump in the goal for Singapore.

After that things got a little heated up.Lionel lewis got a yellow card for taking too long for a goal kick. A player from Singapore got head-butted and my uncle started to call his friends to articulate his elation.
