Maybe it was just me but when National Day started last night, I found myself in supreme court feeling rather expectant about the entire affair. Having watched the show many times however , I was looking forward more to this year's dazzling fireworks, which, judging from the screams of the audience, did not disappoint.

And just when the fireworks finished and I was feeling rather high from all the mind-boogling lights , work had to be done. As Kevin and I went about our duties rather relunctantly, we saw a large crowd of people by the roadside.

" Hey is that Rui En and Taufik?" Kevin asked me, positively beaming with excitement.

A quick glance at the poorly lit duo drew an affirmation.

It was about then that I realised that I was without my beloved Digital Camera when just 2 m away, people were posing next to the stars.

That sucked.
