Biography

The author started this blog just before his university days- that is to say, there would be some posts in the very beginning about army life. One of the very first posts is even in alternating capital and non-capital letters which the author wishes to add was very hip at that time.

When not writing or tweaking some design element on his blog, he divides his time between playing the violin, fantasizing about the day he can play Bach's Chaconne , reading(which he is trying to do more of), running , taking artsy fartsy photos  and watching movies and anime. When he does write however, time between posts can be up to 3 months so do try to check back, say half yearly.

He loves exploring new places in Singapore and gaining new experiences. To that end, Sgwalkers was set up but finding new places to roam about in land scarce Singapore can be challenging but not impossible.

He is a fan of Apple products but currently only owns an iPhone 3GS   4S   6(sian kena lost) 4S. His intention is to get an iMac. With a 27'' cinematic display. Eventually.

As aforementioned , reading counts among his interests. Early favourites include Roald Dahl , Jeffrey Archer and J K Rowling. More recently, he is going through the books of Haruki Murakami and Dan Simmons and recommends "Hyperion" for anyone looking for initiation into the Sci-fic genre. For fantasy, Brandon Sanderson ranks at the very top of his recommendations as he can literally do no wrong. Sanderson's "Mistborn" trilogy and "Stormlight Archive" collection are amongst his favourite books. He dreams of the day he is able to meet Mr. Sanderson face-to-face and take a selfie with him. To that end, he has written to him about upcoming tour plans to Singapore. Response has, to date, not been forthcoming. edit: He has responded but did not say he is coming =(. Also for the record, the author opines that reading on the Kindle rocks because it saves the earth and there is no need to find additional shelf space for new books. He is still most at home with physical books and hence prays that Kinokuniya will forever be in Orchard Takashimaya but for the most part now borrows most of his books from the National Library Board.

A proud owner of the Canon 350D, he rarely uses it these days save for special occasions. He especially likes it paired with the Canon 50mm f1.8 lens. Instead for everyday use, he usually turns to his iPhone or his Canon Powershot S120 which can take photos of the starry starry night and is cool that way.
