The dragon and the house

My night photography sucks; Most of the time, the picutures come out totally black. Not that my day ones are any better but at least subjects can be seen. Whether or not parts of their body are cut off is quite another matter. Still feeling quite full from the steamboat dinner I had, I decided to take a stroll around the neighbour. With camera in hand I began my little expedition.

I must warn you , these pictures have been known to induce severe bouts of nausea, dizziness and even an uncontrollable urge to bite yourself.

what did I tell you

Just five steps (yes, five!) away from my front door is the newly constructed lift which stops at every floor. With Singapore's ageing population a long term problem, the government took matters into its own hands and facilities like the five-step away lift were built for the convenience of the elderly. I see now where the extra pounds are coming from.

This lift, like all modern lifts have two clear glass panels which safe-guards against any hanky-panky. Since it so close to my home, I rarely use the one all the way down the long corridor anymore. I was greeted by a familiar sight when I arrived.

Quick come down pay money

Having one loan shark to a block of flats was bad enough. But two? What are the odds? And it seems that the loan shark knows how to make full use of the large advertisng space too.

Downstairs there was the odd couple at the void deck whispering sweet nothings , the group of boisterous friends and the old lady who feeds the cat. And so I was walking around when I spotted this weird looking plant which I had never ever in my 3 years of living there noticed before.

The dragon and the house

I am guessing this is not some weird programme by the government to scare Aedes moquitoes away.

With the exception of the first picture, I am sure you must have noticed the other pictures were taken in rather well-lit conditions. And so I leave you now with my masterpiece for tonight, my last picture.

Coming and going

And yes, I know my night photography sucks.
