It's the time of the year once again and boy does it look the part. Christmas carols ring in every shopping mall and radio station. Larger than life christmas trees beddecked with white angels, dazzling lights and topped off with a crisp golden star find it's place in almost every home. Now and then the odd chinese CD shop would spill out Chinese New Year melodies.
The atmosphere just isn't complete without the crowds of people doing last minute christmas shopping. Just this afternoon I had to wait for three trains at Cityhall and even that one was crowded.
So what was I doing there? Doing what the rest of the people were doing, of course - shopping.
I went there with every intention of buying a christmas present for someone. More specifically I went down to the Apple store to get some Ipod accessories for my friend who just got himself an Ipod ( He just informed me that it crashed ) but was more than a little wowed by the prices.
But the things they sell, I dare say if you owned an Ipod, you would like some of those just to play with.
Meet the cute Idog

This nifty piece of work is a music robot dog with a difference. Like a Tamagochi you have to feed it with but little else other than music. It then develops personalities based on the music it feeds on. Punk rock makes it rebellious , Jay chou type music makes him happy and dance music makes him erm... excitable.
And did I mention ? He also functions as a pair of speakers too.
While Itrip sounds like some weird tour package put together by the people at Apple, it actually is a Fm transmitter for your Ipod. Simply put, when attached to your Ipod, it makes your Ipod a radio station.

Imagine being a DJ with nothing but your Ipod.
And of course there are the many weird and varied attachmnets from belt clips to wrist straps.
Also there are the protective coverings which prevent your Ipod from being defiled. From plastic coverings for the Ipod itself to socks which go for 34 dollars a set of five to plastic coverings for the remote control of the Ipod, these guys have everything.
With such an abundance of choice, it is no wonder then that I left empty handed.
Other than the price itself, that is.
Happy Christmas Danny Boy! =)
