Let's face it, when you are out there , looking for a job, you got to differentiate yourself, make yourself more outstanding than the everyone else. For some , they really are the stuff they make themselves out to be on their resumes. For others they may not be exactly like what they claim to be but most of the time, I guess it's close enough. That's all well and good.
But for other entry level temporary job seekers with minimal qualitfications like my friend and I, that's where we become so alike to each other that we start to mutate. Yes indeed, like X-men , our cells start to exhbit anomalies.
Our superpowers differ in strength though. Take my friend for example, he is a class 5 mutant. He has the exotic superhuman quality called "关系" (oh my, a chinese word!) . Consider the following case study:
GXC is a very popular company amongst job seekers. My friend and I applied through the same company for a job at around the same time. The thing is, he had a friend working in there and I didn't . 4 weeks passed. They didn't even try to contact me, not even through smoke signals. My friend on the other hand had dozens of job he rejected .
Unfair? Maybe.
For me, I just upgraded to a class 5 mutant. My mum works in the company I am in now.
