Omega (uppercase Ω, lowercase ω) is the 24th and last letter of the Greek alphabet.
My lecturer stun-ed us us sometime ago by pronouncing it as Oh-my-gawd. The first time he said it some of us smiled a little. The second time he said it we had to suppress our laughter. But when the third time came, we just laughed.
He looked at us quizzically then but that made us laugh even more. Undaunted, he then showed us a video of a fluid mechanics effect called cavitation much like the one below.
Seemingly trying to incite some excitement amongst us students, he said , " Oh my God!".
How to tahan like that?
