Fireworks are truly amazing things.

For that short period of time you forget that it is raining, that you keep blinking because the raindrops threaten to blind you, that there are thousands of people around you. It is taboo to open an umbrella because the whole stadium is suffused with a special light and everyone wants to be bathe in it.

The riot of colours, the thunder of the explosion, the exhilaration that comes with it ignite something in each of us, child-like in nature, pure, simple, unbidden - wonder.
