The one thing I really like about staying at grandma's place is that she cooks the most fantastic meals. In the first week here alone , I had nasi lemak, her signature curry chicken, pork chops , fried chicken wings and chicken rice.
Which more or less explains the sore throat I have at the moment.
The thing ,is her food is so good, I find myself comparing it to the food I have in school. Despite the popular canteen at the arts faculty(which I think is over-rated ) , I find myself gravitating more towards the one in the engine faculty. One reason is that it is much nearer and I think the food there is not too bad. Of course, there are stalls which serve above average makan.
One foodstall that you should try out if you find yourself in the vincinity is the chicken chop spaggetti. It isn't fantastic but it almost gurranteed to sastify. One word of caution though, don't let the aunite persuade you to change the chicken chop to chicken cutlet. If need be, wait. Their
chicken cutlet sinks like a rock, which I think is the inspiration for the cutlet.
Another safe bet is the chicken rice stall. Their service is extremely efficient and if you are in a rush, this stall's queue will let you get to your destination with time to spare. They serve chicken rice, char siew rice and other dishes you can add . One reccomendation? Their fragant slices of roasted pork rock the house.
For now, these are the two stalls that did it for me. On days when I have intense cravings I might drop by Macdonald's to have a Chicken foldover or Subway to have their fabulous meatball marinara.
If not, I'll just head back home(a 10minute ride from campus) for a meal of lovingly prepared home-cooked food.
For now, life is good.
Pls dont tell me u ate 'black pepper smthg crap' fr the last stall of 'heaven' at arts. Sheesh.. If that's the case, erm, I rest my case.
