The Great Leap

I booked out on Friday night in high spirits, having passed my Basic Driving Theory Evaluation test on Thursday( more about that later), with great plans for my blog.I even borrowed some HTML books to help me with the tweaking of my blog. So prepared was I that I even have the completed product design in my head. And my sister had to tell me that the internet was not working.

Now, of courses I was disappointed having waited one week to come online.I could not believe she actually let the problem just lie there for one entire week. What? She expected me to fix it or something? I was no computer genius.

In between spiting her by repeating "one entire week" whenever she was around me I finally gave up trying to connect to the internet for what seemed like the 512th time and tried to evaluate my options.

1. Sleep
This of course was the best route as I could finally dream that I was in camp that everything that happened was in fact a dream.

2. Listen to a CD
I had David Tao's The Great Leap and Maydays's newest album.

3. Read a Book
Given the frustration, I would not have read a sentence without reading the word "Internet" in it.

4. Scream at my sister
Which is the most tempting. I wonder if I had a loud-hailer in the house somewhere.

Having decided that I had enough I decided to listen to David Tao's album whose review would be up soon here.

By now you would be wondering why in the world you are reading this if I had no internet connection. This would be by virtue of Cedric's Internet connection at his home.I went to his home after guitar class this morning. In fact, he is sleeping as I am writing this. Interesting guy, that.

Now back to the Basic Driving Theory Evaluation Test I had on Thursday during my nights out.

I went with three other friends to Bukit Batok Driving Centre, Jia Jing , Randy and Jun Da. All of us booked the practice and evaluationat the same time except Jun da who was taking Motorcyclist Basic Theory. Jun Da's Evaluation was earlier and he was already done after we had our practice.

Me: So how was it?

Jun Da: Basket.Fail by one mark.

By this time we were feverishly flipping through the Basic Driving Theory Book. We had to pass this to take the actual test. All of our camp mates had passed.

All: what happened?

Jun Da: Got one Mother and Daughter Tag Team sit between me during the practice then I cannot concentrate ah.

Me: why le?

I thought the daughter was some Chio bu he was eyeing.

Jun Da: The Mother don't understand English then call her daughter translate for her to Chinese. She rapping throughout my practice sia.

Me: But only practice only ma

Jun Da: During evaluation also. Suay Suay they choose to sit beside me. Basket. Waste my time here sia.

Promising that we would not tell anyone in camp about his failure, we went to the evaluation while he proceeded back to camp.

I called him after the test.

Me: Oii. We all passed le. You inferior la.

Jun Da: Sian ah. Today suay la. Just now I want to go top up my card then then machine kena stuck. I call the person come and fix hor they got my card out in two pieces sia.

Me: then?

Jun Da: They call me to pay lor. Siao ah. I go buay song them then they offer me a new free card.

The next day, everyone knew Jun Da failed the Evaluation. I wonder.
